Monique has been a creative facilitator for 12 years, working with people of all ages teaching music, drama, dance, music theatre and more.

Vocal Coaching

Monique teaches private and group singing lessons with a particular interest in helping beginners gain the confidence and skills to sing loud, proud and safely. She is a firm believer that everyone can sing! She has a particular interest in the Singing Athlete pedagogy - developed by Broadway MD and vocal coach Andrew Byrne. She regularly works with Andrew and has Certification Level One with this method. Her experiences as a singer and her studies at WAAPA also influence her teaching. She currently teaches as select secondary schools in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).

Performing Arts Facilitation

Monique offers music, music theatre, drama and movement classes. Over the years she has worked with organisations such as Australian School of Performing Arts, The National Theatre (Drama School) and The Drama School. She is passionate about making the performing arts fun, inclusive and accessible particularly for school aged students. Whether leading a class of 5 or 200 Monique prioritises joy, creative collaboration and child lead play in her classroom. Monique's training as a music theatre performer, dancer and clown enable her bring embodiment and energy into each class she teaches, encouraging students to do the same.

Choirs

Growing up, Monique was a choir girl. There was something about collective singing and harmonies that captured her imagination from an early age. Monique has a long association teaching and conducting with The Australian Girls' Choir. She has also lead choirs in schools, at aged care facilities and community choirs.
