A silly Olympics for the whole family to enjoy!

As an artist, Monique loves to bring stories to life with playfulness and integrity through her work as an actor, singer and clown.

She trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in Music Theatre. During her time at WAAPA she played lead roles such as Helena in Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and Veronica in ‘Heathers the Musical’. Highlights from her acting career include performing in Immersive Cinema’s interactive version of ‘Dirty Dancing’ and originating the role of Hen in The Anchor Theatre Company’s award winning two hander ‘Pillow Fight’ by Laura Lethlean. She has also appeared in various short films and commercials for Toyota and Vick’s Vapor Drops.

As singer, Monique is inspired by a wide range of genres. Growing up she learnt classical technique and was involved in choirs. She thrived under the instruction of Elisa Wilson at WAAPA, exploring both legit and contemporary vocal techniques and discovered a passion for harmonies. Her current musical projects include creative collaboration with Georgia Hurford on their musical cabaret ‘A French Connection’ as well as the Swing in Grumble Entertainment’s ‘Dancing Queen the ABBA Band Tribute Show’. Whether she’s belting a Celine Dion ballad or the delicate notes of a Puccini Opera, Monique loves to share music, particularly in a live capacity. Her current vocal coach is Andrew Byrne of The Singing Athlete and she also has Certification One of his brain based singing technique.

Most recently Monique has been exploring the wild and wacky world of clowning having studied with Fabio Motta of The Clowning Workshop as well as at Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France. She has created a musical clown show for kids, ‘The Comedy Games with Coach Mon’. She recently took her 5 star show Edinburgh Fringe Festival and hopes to continue to bring Coach Mon to audiences.
